The Last 5 Years
16.03.11 | Went with a bunch of friends to watch a musical at KLPac (Kuala Lumpur Performance Arts Centre).. Directed by our dear friend, Christopher Ling, this production tells of the courtship and eventually the break-up of two lovers, Jamie and Cathy..
It was quite an unconventional used of timeline whereby Jamie starts his side of the story from the day the two met, while Cathy relates her view from their break-up, slowly moving backward from there..
The plot was rather captivating, yet heavy pace at times.. Which explained the message behind this musical that "love, like life, is never what we expect it to be".. Yet, we all know that only God can give us that kind of unconditional and everlasting love..
Anyway, it was definitely one of the good musical or play I've watched so far..
